AUDIO-TECHNICA AD


Target Audience: Record players have seen a rise in popularity over the last few years. My target audience for this piece was 14-35 which, according to the RIAA, contributes the largest part of vinyl and record player sales. I wanted to target an audience that values nostalgia and the benefits that vinyl brings to the listening experience.

Purpose: The purpose of this piece was to show the vintage feel that using a turntable has. The idea was to show different scenarios where you might use a turntable and was later changed to just the moments in one day. This worked better with the song I chose “Sunday Kind of Love” and worked better with my budget.

Hardware Used: Sony FX3, Aperture lights, light diffusers, light modifiers, C-Stand and tripod

Software Used: Premiere Pro, Davinchi Resolve

Mood Board

The mood board was one of the first things that I put together as I conceptualized this project. I wanted to keep the feeling of this commercial light and fun to show how fun owning a turntable can be. I saw two commercials that inspired me, a Spotify spec ad by The Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg and actual ad for the Sony PS-LX310BT.
